Unlimited Plans:
All plans are based on congestion giving more priority to those who are under a 150 Gb usage.
You are not being limited on data for going over 150Gb, but during times of congestion, those who are under that level get to have theirs over you if you are over 150Gb.
Sometime's this is considered as throttling. Other services may claim "no throttling", but if you are paying for slow speed internet, you are throttled by default.
Bronze 12 (Up to 12Mbps.)
Best suited for smaller screens. Optimized for 360p resolution. Larger screens may show quality of picture issues when watching videos from providers such as Netflix, Hulu and Roku.
Silver 25 (Up to 25Mbps.)
Optimized for 480p resolution, similar to DVD quality.
Gold 30 (Up to 30Mbps.)
Optimized for 720p video quality. This is for your Super-duper TV screen... but at 720p.
After 150 Gb of data usage, you may experience prioritization over other users in congested periods.
Resolutions are approximated and may not be the exact resolution deleivered.
What does this mean?
At 150 GB of usage...The person who has less usage than you...Gets it first.... If the pipe is congested.
You can only fit so much water in a pipe. A satellite beam, a fiber optic cable, a set of wires... are a pipe... in Internet thought.
You are not being limited. You are being prioritized.
You don't get more water than your neighbor at the moment that all your neighbors are tapping water... if they hardly used it...They will get it first. You got your 150 gallons, and you can have more...but their tap is a little more open than yours...until they get their "150 gallons".
"Up To" basically covers for times of congestion, when everyone is trying to use the maximum at the same time. Therefore speeds cannot be guaranteed.
GET IT? It's not a limit on how much water you can have, but how fast you can drain the lake when others haven't gotten theirs and need it too.
